News Release for VPPRs
Did your VPPR receive the “Don’t Burn Your Toast” news release?
On June 25, 2009, all VPPRs were sent an e-mail containing a link to a news release that offered tips on wedding toasts from Toastmasters International. This fill-in-the-blanks news release was designed in MS Word to help make their job easier and more fun. The press release is now available for viewing in PDF format on the Toastmasters Web site.
VPPRs in open clubs are encouraged to send the release to their local media outlets. Those in closed clubs are encouraged to send it to their company newsletter or simply post a printed copy at their site.
The contact information given on the page leads to World Headquarters, with a portion of the news release guiding the reader to a particular club. This is designed to augment publicity materials written by the VPPRs, and they should continue producing their own news releases as well.
