She has an extensive background in strategic, financial, and policy and procedures management; team building; design, delivery and evaluation of training programs; and equity and diversity training.
Education: Provincial Instructors Diploma, Certificate in Adult Education, Certificate in Conflict Resolution and Negotiation; Myers-Briggs Type Indicator qualified; Certified in EQ in Action; Graduate of Women’s Leadership Seminar; Instructional Skills Workshop certified; Guiding Change certified.
Hobbies and Interests: Traveling, walking and people watching; studying different cultures; listening to music, reading, and dancing; enjoying discussions puzzles; and visiting with friends and family.
Volunteer Experience: Mentor within Leadership Victoria; design and delivery of workshops, BC Association for Community Living; Board member of Victoria Women’s Transition House; Executive member of Saanich Rotary Club; Trainer, Speaker’s Bureau for Commonwealth Games; hosted weekly community TV program; hosted and coordinated 16 international horse shows; advisory committee member, University of Victoria’s Continuing Studies in Education department.
